Description
‘Howell’s Dwarf Tigertail’ is the most colorful of all bicolors, with a unique color combination with bright silver-blue on the undersides of the needles and green on top. It is an attractive, hardy dwarf conifer that forms a mound, which can be kept in this way by pruning upward growing shoots. If the central leader is left alone, a pyramidal tree will eventually form. An especially attractive feature of this tree is the reddish-purple cones that form on mature trees in the spring.
