Sometimes a rose comes along that’s simply irresistible, and we think ‘Piñata’ is exactly that! Excellent for cutting, these festive blooms in bright shades of gold, orange, and pink arise abundantly in large clusters over a long season on disease- and pest-resistant plants with attractive medium green, leathery foliage. About 2½ inches wide, they are comprised of 25 to 30 petals, forming high-centered to flat, open blooms that release a light tea-rose scent into the garden. Once they’re spent, they drop off cleanly. This rose is somewhat similar to ‘Joseph’s Coat’ but with more abundant and smaller blooms.
