Galbraiths Fountains & Statuary Shipping Information

Shipping statues is a serious task and we ask for your understanding concerning the time and effort of this important service.

Size, weight, fragility and care in packaging all have to be carefully considered in order to get your fountain or statuary to you safely, and efficiently.

All of our offerings come to you directly from the manufacturers, minimizing the handling and risk for damage. Our goal is to get your purchase to you without damage; therefore, extra attention is paid to the packaging and shipping of statuary and fountains not ordinarily found in shipping of other products.

Standard vs. Common Carrier Shipping:

A majority of the products we offer, depending on the size and weight, are shipped via UPS Standard Ground, Fed-Ex Standard Ground or the United States Postal Service depending on which offers the best delivery times for a particular customer.

Large items, generally items whose weight exceeds around 70 lbs. and more fragile statues that may weigh less than 70 lbs., are sent via a Common Freight Carrier.

These larger items are shipped on pallets and protected from damage by being packed with large quantities of approved packing material. Each of these palletized items will be delivered to the customers prearranged location by the freight carrier. Because of this, we work with several freight transport companies to make this vital service as safe, fast, and inexpensive as possible.

Process For Ordering Your Free Shipping Quote:

All orders are going to have a personalized shipping quote created for them.

Once you have confirmed your information we will speak to our freight transport partners and select the most competitive bid for you. We will then contact you with the shippers bid. You will then have 10 business days to contact us and confirm the shipping price for processing. Once confirmed you will be sent tracking information as soon as your order is ready for shipment. Any orders which are not confirmed after the 10th day will be automatically cancelled at no charge to you.

Note, your credit card will not be charged until the shipping quote has been agreed to and the order has been passed on to the manufacturer.

Receiving A Common Carrier Order:

If you have purchased an item whose weight exceeds the maximum delivery weight of either UPS, Fed Ex or USPS then delivery of your purchase will be handled by a common freight carrier.

Once your items are picked up, you will be contacted by the freight carrier to schedule delivery. It is the responsibility of the common freight company to deliver your package and to lower it to ground level for unpacking. It is not the responsibility of the driver to unpack your package or to move it off the lift gate of his truck. If you have purchased a large fountain or statuary make sure you have ample help available to unpack and setup your merchandise. Some fountains may require a forklift on site for delivery, which is the customer’s responsibility to provide. We will let the customer know in advance if the customer ordered a fountain requiring a forklift. Unfortunately, at this time we do not have “white glove” service available.

Timeframe For Receiving Your Order:

In general, our manufacturers do not inventory their products. Each fountain or statuary is crafted at the time the order is placed. So, please allow 3-6 weeks for shipment of your order. Some items do sometimes require longer production times, more intricate packaging, or just sometimes take longer to ship. If this situation arises you will be informed as soon as we are made aware of it. If some items in your purchase are available for shipment sooner than others we will inform you of this, and send the items to you as they become available.

Why We Do Not Offer "Free" Shipping:

We do not claim to offer free shipping.

The reasoning for this is; when a company offers you free shipping on items such as ours, they are applying a blanket shipping fee into the cost of the item in which they usually profit from overestimating.

We do not consider it appropriate for us to profit from the shipping of our items to you. Any shipping costs we incur are passed from us to you with no mark up. This is how we would want to be treated and how we feel you deserve to be treated.

If you have any questions on the shipping process, then please call us at (888) 486-1587, and ask for Joe or email us at sales@galbraithsinc.com.
