Lawn Mowing

Service Overview

Lawn mowing is the most crucial part to maintaining your lawn’s health and appearance.  It is also the first impression your visitors and neighbors see of you and your home.  Why not have one of Fort Wayne’s most trusted names in landscaping maintain your lawn for you.

Most importantly we cut at a proper height that will allow the grass plants to grow deeper more viable roots. When grass has a better root system, it allows the lawn to remain greener longer through dry periods and prevents many common lawn weeds from developing. When properly mowed by us, your lawn can do all this on its own while requiring less watering and maintenance from you.

We also utilize some of the best tools in the trade. Our mowers are equipped with floating decks that eliminate unsightly lawn scalping that often occurs on hills and edges. Also, our mower blades are always sharp. By sharpening our blades so regularly, we are able to give you a superior cut every time. When we edge your lawn we use an actual lawn edger to give you the most crisp line between turf and hardscapes.

We make mowing a hassle free process for our customers.  Each customer is scheduled for a certain day of the week.  We try our best to stick to that day so you will know when the crew is coming to mow.  The service is on a weekly as needed basis.  This means that during the hot summer months the crew uses their best judgment on whether the yard needs to be mowed that particular week.  We can also custom tailor the program to meet your yards individual needs.  The mowing services are conveniently billed at the end of the month.   We can even set up a credit card on file to bill each service.

Above all this, the most important thing that we can provide our customers is communication. If we see something that needs attention then we will address it with you. Many times it is something simple, such as taking the time to explain about watering frequency. Or sometimes it can be something that can really damage a lawn if left unchecked, such as noticing and identifying a grub worm infestation. Whatever it might be we will let you know about it. We have been in business for more than 65 years and still follow the golden rule. Treat others as you would like to be treated. We will not leave your property until we are proud enough to call it our own.

Standard Options

On average there are about 26-30 services a year. But, that really depends a lot on Mother Nature.  Generally our mowing crews start around the 1st week of April and go to the 1st week of November.  But, many times we have things like early springs and late falls that can either lengthen or shorten the season.  Also, summer weather has a lot to do with how many services we complete.  Some years we can skip several weeks because the lawn is dormant due to heat waves and drought.

Yes we can.  We understand that mowing several acres every week is not a good use of your money.  We can put different sections of your property on different mowing schedules.  For example, your front yard and back fenced yard gets mowed weekly while your four acres behind the fence gets mowed monthly.  We can customize our programs any way that best fits your needs.

Our mowing services are billed on a monthly statement sent out at the end of each month.  You can also check your services anytime through our Customer Account Web Site located at the top left of this page.  We can also setup our AutoPay feature.  This deducts the service cost off your credit card the day after your service is complete.

Absolutely.  We do not force our customers into restricting contracts.  You can cancel our service anytime.  We ask that you let us know a couple of days before your scheduled service day to make sure that your property is removed from the schedule in time.
