Description
A wonderful new red dwarf Japanese maple – Acer palmatum Rhode Island Red is going to be the new contender for a favorite along with Pixie. Rhode Island Red is a more compact dense leafed Japanese dwarf form than Pixie. It holds its color very well in the heat and sun. Rhode Island Red has a bright red, spring flush that darkens to a gorgeous purple-red as the leaves mature. Fall foliage is an outstanding fiery orange to red.
